A few weeks back at the Catamount Classic I met and talked with the folks over at Traditional Strings. They are a local lacrosse company based in Massachusetts that sell hats, shirts and shorts. I was able to check out some of their new products.

I was also able to talk to them about their stick donation program. Here is what they had to say about their stick donation program:
Traditional Strings created the stick donation program to support the growth of Lacrosse in non-traditional areas. A percentage of our website sales are contributed to our donation program. A donation meter which appears on our website updates in real time in response to a purchase. Currently, our donations support Charlestown Lacrosse of Charlestown, MA. We hope to support more youth programs who foster the development of lacrosse in non-traditional areas as our capacity increases.

The way you, the lacrosse fan, can help out is by shopping at shopping at traditionalstrings.com. This the most direct way to support their program as sales revenue leads to them donating more sticks. However if your not in a financial situation to purchase a Traditional Strings item or simply don’t care for their clothing but like their initiative you can tweet or share them and perhaps someone in your social network would be interested in contributing. Personally I am a fan of their hats. Check out their website, purchase something and help their cause of donating sticks to youth lacrosse programs.
