LOWELL, Mass. — UMass Lowell Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach Ed Stephenson announced the schedule for the upcoming 2018 season on Thursday, which features 15 games.
“I’m really excited about our 2018 schedule,” exclaimed Stephenson. “In addition to competing in one of the foremost conferences, we play a very challenging non-conference schedule. Once again, I anticipate great parity in our conference and I’d expect the last weekend of conference play to decide the four post-season America East Championship tournament teams.”
The River Hawks will play in front of River Hawk Nation eight times this season at Cushing Field starting with a contest against Monmouth (3/3) and ending with the regular season finale against NJIT (4/28).
UMass Lowell opens the season on a three-game road swing against Quinnipiac (2/10), Harvard (2/17), and Siena (2/24), with another non-conference road matchup against Providence (3/6). The squad will host Monmouth, Manhattan (3/10), Massachusetts (3/13), Dartmouth (4/10) and NJIT for their non-conference home slate.
The River Hawks travel to Binghamton (3/17) to open up America East Play before returning to face UAlbany (3/24) and UMBC (3/31). The squad travels to Vermont (4/7) following the conference home openers before returning to face Hartford (4/14) for their final league home game. A trip to Stony Brook (4/21) concludes conference play.
Stephenson’s squad concludes the regular season with a contest at Cushing Field against NJIT on April 28th and will honor 12 seniors.
