PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men’s lacrosse program announced its 2018 regular-season schedule.
The 2017 campaign was a historic season for the program. The Friars made their first appearance in the BIG EAST Championship game against Marquette, which took place on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium last May. Providence earned its berth in the title game after upsetting No. 2 seed Villanova, 10-7, to claim the program’s first BIG EAST Tournament victory. The Friars finished the 2017 season at 10-7 overall. The 10 victories were tied for the most in program history.
“Our 2018 schedule is our program’s most challenging to date,” Head Coach Chris Gabrielli said. “It will serve as a daily reminder for our players and coaches that our commitment to the process of getting better every day is critical.”
The Friars will scrimmage the University of Massachusetts in Amherst on Saturday, Jan. 27.
