CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With the 2018 season around the corner and classes getting underway on campus, Harvard men’s lacrosse has named seniors Sean Coleman and Joe Lang its captains for the 2017-18 academic year.

“I am pleased to announce that Sean Coleman and Joe Lang have been chosen by their teammates as team captains for the 2017-18 team,” said Chris Wojcik, The Frisbie Family Head Coach for Harvard Men’s Lacrosse. “They have earned the respect of their teammates through their character, hard work and their ability to make the players around them better. They will lead our team with help from a large senior class, and I look forward to partnering with them as we begin our preparations for the spring season.”

Coleman is a team captain for the second-straight season, and was a NEILA Preseason All-New England second team selection a year ago. Coleman scored seven goals and dished six assists for 13 points from the midfield in 2017, while picking up a career-best 26 ground balls with eight caused turnovers.

Lang was a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy League first team a year ago, while also collecting Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America honorable mention honors. Lang totaled 29 points, good for second on the team, on 19 goals and 10 assists last season. He tallied at least two points in 12-straight games last season.
