Bates Claims Top Spot in D3 for First Time

NEWTON, Mass. — Earning seven of the nine first place votes, Bates College has been named the top team in Division 3 for the first time, as the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) announces their polls for Week #8 in Divisions 1, 2, and 3 men’s lacrosse.

The Bobcats overtake Tufts University, who receive the other two first place votes, after the Jumbos suffered their first loss of the year. In Division 1, Yale University again held off Boston University at the top of the poll, while there was no change in the five spots at the Division 2 level, with Merrimack College continuing to reign unanimously.
