Epoch Opens Doors for “Minnesota Lacrosse: A History” Book Signing
Roseville, MN – December 18, 2015 – Epoch Lacrosse opened the doors to its state of the art lacrosse and research development center recently to host a book signing for “Minnesota Lacrosse: A History,” written by Alan Childs.
“Most people are unaware of Minnesota’s rich history in the foundation of lacrosse,” said James Miceli, principal and founder of Epoch Lacrosse. “Alan has done a tremendous job compiling the information and telling the story of lacrosse in Minnesota through captivating stories and remarkable archival photographs.”
Lacrosse in Minnesota begins with the arrival of the Ojibwe tribe who brought the game of lacrosse with them to Minnesota to the white settlers who led the state to its first National Championship. This books documents these events and more about the story of lacrosse in Minnesota. The book also includes: the origins of lacrosse rules, the evolution of women’s lacrosse, a lacrosse timeline, rosters of all the US Olympic teams and the role boarding schools played in the evolution of lacrosse. Doing a book report on lacrosse? This is your source for the history of Midwest lacrosse.
