Maverik Rome RX3 Glove Review

The Maverik Rome RX3 Glove was seen on Notre Dame in the NCAA tournament last spring as well as Maverik sponsored athletes this summer in the MLL.  The glove just hit the market for us average joe’s this fall, just in time for the spring 2016 season.  The major features of the Rome RX3 glove is Poron XRD, a Quattro+palm and Flowcool.  What those features amount to is protection in high impact areas, mainly the thumb and index finger; a more natural feel between your hand and the Maverik shaft of your choice, and venting of the glove which keeps your hand cool.  Maverik also built the Rome RX3 glove using a Speed Fit profile.  The Speed Fit profile allows maximum freedom of movement while wearing the glove and also gives a close to hand fit. It makes it seem like you are not wearing a lacrosse glove.

The Rome RX3 glove is great.  When wearing it the Speed Fit and Quattro+palm make it seem like there is no palm in the glove at all.  It allows you to feel the lacrosse shaft and give you more control.  Another plus would be less break in time.  The Rome RX3 glove is ready right out of the box.  It is lightweight and protective which is key.  The overall design of the glove is awesome.  It builds on the success of the Rome NXT glove and it looks very similar. We tested a pair of all black Rome RX3’s as well as a Boston Cannon’s RX3 glove.  We highly recommend the Maverik Rome RX3 if you are in the market for a new lacrosse glove this spring.
