NEILA Poll Week 11

NEWTON, Mass. — By virtue of winning their conference championships, Yale University and Tufts University reclaimed the top of their divisions while Merrimack College stood tall as the top team in Division 2 in 2015 as the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) announces their Week #11 poll.

The Warriors received first-place votes unanimously each week this year and are the only team in New England left playing in Division II as they enter the NCAA tournament with a first-round game against NE-10 foe Adelphi.

Yale toppled Princeton in the Ivy League championship game to reclaim the New England top spot from Brown University, while Tufts avenged a regular season loss to Amherst by upsetting the top-seeded Lord Jeffs to claim the NESCAC crown, and taking Amherst’s spot at the top of Division 3 by unanimous consent.
