Bentley Picked 4th in Northeast-10 Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Poll

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men’s lacrosse team has been tabbed fourth in the Northeast-10 Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Coaches’ Poll that was released on Thursday. Bentley received 97 points.

The Falcons are coming off an 8-7 (7-4 NE-10) season in 2014 that saw them finish fourth in the standings, and advance to the NE-10 semifinals after a comeback win over So. New Hampshire in the first round that saw them rally from 7-4 down entering the fourth quarter for an 8-7 victory.

A good portion of that team returns. Seven of the top-10 scorers are back, as are two starting defensemen and defensive midfielder T.A. Demoulas (Lowell, Mass./Middlesex School). Demoulas and midfielder Matt Brigham (Portsmouth, R.I./Portsmouth Abbey) were named Preseason All-New England. Senior Cutler Dimond (Marblehead, Mass./Tabor Academy) returns after leading the team in goals (25) and points (35) last season.

Le Moyne tops the poll with 118 points and eight first-place votes. Defending champions Adelphi are second with 113 points and four first-place votes. Merrimack is third (102 points) and So. New Hampshire rounds out the top-five (74 points).

Bentley is set to open its season at New York Tech on Sunday, March 1 at 1:00 pm. The game was originally supposed to be played at Bentley on Feb. 28, but was moved due to field conditions.
