Team goals heading into the 2015 season?

“Our goals for the second season of competition is to improve our team from last year. We were able to make the playoffs as a first year program last year and we would like to do so again this year, with two less teams making the playoffs this year in the GNAC.”

“As a program we would like to put ourselves in the best position to win a playoff game this season and take that next step.”

Who are you expecting big things out of in 2015?

On the defensive side of the ball the Wildcats will look to Brett Leighton, Julian Bandereck, and Brad Medlin. Leighton is a junior defenseman who is moving from close d to LSM this spring. Medlin is a sophomore close defenseman while Bandereck is a junior who will be seeing time his first playing this spring since the first game last year. He got injured in the first game of 2014 and missed the entire season.

On the offensive side the Wildcats are looking to Brian Hillenbrand, Damian Bandereck, as well as Chris Macchi. Hillenbrand is sophomore midfielder who had 15 goals and 11 assists in 2014. While Bandereck a senior attack had 18 goals and 2 assists in last season. While the Wildcats are hoping Macchi, a junior attack, can return to his old form after suffering an ACL injury last spring, which caused him to miss the last 5 games of 2014.

Game on the schedule that your team is looking forward to the most?

The March 2nd game against Southwestern University in Texas. The biggest reason is to get away from all of this snow.

Favorite to win the GNAC this spring?

Emmanuel is the favorite as they graduated little to no players from their roster.

Players to watch in the GNAC this spring?

Andrew Suh from Lasell. Suh is a junior attackman and he will be on everyone’s scouting report this spring.
