WATERBURY, Conn. – Post University men’s lacrosse head coach Jim Griffin announced the Eagles’ 2015 schedule on Wednesday. The 15-game slate features two games at LaMoy Field against 2014 NCAA Tournament participants.
The Eagles kick off their second season on the road on Saturday, Feb. 14 against Pace. Post opens its home schedule on Feb. 21 against Dowling. The Golden Lions finished last season ranked sixth in the nation with a 12-4 record.
During the first week of March, the Eagles head to West Virginia for games against Ohio Valley (March 4) and Alderson Broaddus (March 6). Post earned its first win in program history against Ohio Valley, 13-7, a year ago.
Following the road trip, Post returns home for games against Franklin Pierce (March 11) and Notre Dame de Namur (March 14). The Eagles visit Dominican on March 19 before returning home to host last year’s national runner-up LIU-Post on March 25. Post closes out the two-game homestand on March 29 against the University of the District of Columbia.
Post visits Assumption (April 4) and Molloy (April 8) before playing Walsh at a neutral site in the Gettysburg, Pa. on April 11.
The Eagles close out the season with home matchups against Southern New Hampshire (April 21) and Chestnut Hill (April 25).
Last season, in its first year as a varsity program, Post finished with a record of 4-1. The Eagles return four of its top five leading scorers from a year ago and All-New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) performer sophomore Jack Kearney (Sandy Hook, Conn.)
