MANCHESTER, N.H. – On Sunday, October 5, the Saint Anselm men’s lacrosse program will host the third annual Purple Ribbon Lacrosse Challenge, featuring six area collegiate lacrosse programs.
Every spring, the Purple Ribbon Mother’s Day 5K is held in Bow, N.H., and raises money for the Massachusetts General Hospital’s Michelle Cadorette Fund for Malignant Thymoma Research as well as the Michelle L. Cadorette Scholarship given to graduating seniors from Bow High School.
Michelle Cadorette, a 1991 graduate of Saint Anselm College, succumbed to Malignant Thymoma after a 14-year battle with the disease, as well as Pure Red Cell Aplasia in August 2013.
All proceeds from admission to Saint Anselm’s Grappone Stadium, raffle prizes including tickets to a Manchester Monarchs game, Manchester-area restaurant gift certificates and others, and the sale of sterling silver sea glass jewelry will go toward the Michelle Cadorette Fund at MGH.
For more information, contact Saint Anselm men’s lacrosse coach Steve Gaudreau.
