Coach Lange comes to Green Mountain after being the head coach at Anna Maria College the past two seasons. He is the third coach in three years for the Eagles lacrosse program. His goal for the 2014 season is to bring some stability to the program. He expects his players to have a successful season by working hard, dedicating themselves and committing to do the little things correctly. The Eagles are also on a 24 game losing streak, they haven’t won a game in the past 2 seasons. According to coach Lange, “we are looking forward to ending that streak and working towards making the conference playoffs for the first time since we joined the North Atlantic Conference in 2009.”
Looking to lead the Eagles in 2014 will be senior goalie Luke Carey. According to his coach, “Carey is without doubt the hardest worker and the leader of our team.”

They are the defending champions and return several key members of the last year’s championship squad according to coach Lange. A dark-horse in the NAC this spring looks like Maine Maritime. Coach Lange told us to be aware of Maine Maritime due to midfielder Nicholas Betti. He went on to say that Betti is an up and coming midfielder with a nice supporting crew leading the way. A player to watch in the NAC this spring will be Castleton State’s Zach Davidson. He is an attack who was the NAC Player of the Year in 2013. Davidson ranked second in Division III for assists per game and third in Division III for points per game.
