Boston Box Lacrosse League Hosts Holiday Open Nights

Chance to play real box lacrosse during the holiday season

The Boston Box Lacrosse League will hold two nights of open-floor lacrosse over the holiday season, with games played at the South Shore Sports Center in Hingham on the Mondays before Christmas and New Year’s Day respectively.

The Monday pick-up games will start at 9:30 and run until 11:30 and are open to all players age 18 and up, for a cost of $20 per night.

“This is a good chance for college players who are home for the holidays to get their workout in, for guys who have always wanted to try box lacrosse to get a taste of it and for players who are hoping to earn a spot in our regular leagues to show the captains what they’ve got,” said Randy Fraser, the league’s founder and the former assistant coach/general manager for the Boston Blazers.

The Boston Box Lacrosse League will provide jerseys for players on the 23rd and 30th; format for the evening will be determined by the number of attendees.

The BBLL’s winter session will begin on Tuesday, January 7, and runs for 12 weeks. Players who are interested in playing should contact Fraser at
