2013 Preview Franklin Pierce University Ravens

Franklin Pierce University Ravens

The Franklin Pierce Ravens finished the 2012 season on a positive note by defeating Pace 10-9. That victory gave the Ravens a winning season, which was the first one in school history. Franklin Pierce will be led this season by head coach Rick Senatore, who is entering his fourth season with the Ravens. Coach Senatore was named Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year and NEILA Division II Coach of the Year this past spring.

The Ravens will look to repeat their success in 2013. They will be looking to Eddie Noonan to lead them this spring. Noonan is a junior attackman who was the NE-10 Rookie of the Year in 2011, as well as the NEILA Division II Rookie of the Year and a NEILA selection last spring. Noonan finished 2012 with 21 goals and ten assists. His 31 points was tops for the Ravens last season.

According to Coach Senatore, the favorite to win the NE-10 in 2013 is LeMoyne. LeMoyne won last year’s NE-10 and has won ten NE-10 titles overall. A dark horse in the conference this spring could be the College of St. Rose. This will be the Golden Knights’ first season in the NE-10, but the team did complete at the Division II level last spring. Coach Senatore also told us to keep an eye on a couple of Merrimack College players this spring, Greg Melaugh and Corey Lunney.
